Eleonora Chielli is an Italian lawyer, with the right of audience before the Superior Courts (Avvocato Cassazionista). She is the founder of her own Venice-based law firm. Her practice is a mix of litigation and non-contentious work.

Professor of art law, she is responsible for legal education at the IED (European Institute of Design – visual art and fashion) in Venice and Florence She regularly collaborates with the IAL (Institute of Art and Law, UK) that publishes her articles on Italian case law in the field of art law. She is also a regular speaker at art law conferences in Italy and abroad.
After her law degree awarded by the University of Padua, Eleonora joined “Studio Legale Tonucci & Partners”, where she practised international commercial law, in collaboration with London based Penningtons solicitors.

She specialised in intellectual property, commercial law and art law. She passed successfully courses to become mediator and arbitrator.
To deepen her knowledge of art law, she took the Corso Avanzato in Diritto dell’arte dei Beni Culturali (Advanced Course in Art and Cultural Law) at the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa. She was awarded the Diploma in Intellectual Property and Collections by the Institute of Law in London (Merit) and attended the course in Art and Law by the Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

She passed successfully courses to become mediator and arbitrator. Her clients include major museums, art galleries, artists both national and international, and foundations.
Eleonora is a violinist and avid art-love. Art law is a way of combining her legal background and experience with her passion for the beauty and human creativity.
Eleonora speaks fluent English, and she has a good understanding of Spanish and French.
