Commercial law Venice: advice for businesses and professionals
Commercial law is the backbone of every business activity. Whether it is setting up a company, negotiating a contract, managing relationships with suppliers or clients, or resolving a commercial dispute, having a specialist lawyer by your side makes the difference between a sound decision and an uncalculated risk.
I have been practising commercial and corporate law in Venice for over twenty years, assisting entrepreneurs, professionals, startups and established companies at every stage of their business. I operate both in litigation and out of court, with particular attention to preventing disputes through solid and up-to-date contract drafting.
Thanks to my international background and collaboration with foreign law firms, I also assist foreign companies operating in Italy and Italian companies expanding into international markets. I offer advice in Italian, English, Spanish and French.
Areas of practice
Company formation and corporate management — incorporation of limited and unlimited companies, amendments to articles of association, shareholders’ meetings, governance and shareholder relations.
Commercial contracts — drafting and negotiating sale and purchase, distribution, agency, franchising, supply and service contracts.
International commercial law — contracts with foreign counterparties, jurisdiction and arbitration clauses, adaptation to different legal systems.
Debt recovery — out-of-court and judicial procedures for the recovery of commercial debts, injunctions and enforcement proceedings.
Contractual liability — breach of contract, termination of contracts, damages and protection of commercial interests.
Unfair competition — protection against unfair practices, slavish imitation, defamation and poaching of clients.
Mediation and arbitration — out-of-court resolution of commercial disputes, with particular attention to speed and confidentiality.

International experience at the service of Venetian businesses
I developed my expertise in international commercial law at Studio Legale Tonucci & Partners, collaborating with Penningtons Solicitors in London. This background allowed me to develop a global vision of commercial law, which I apply daily in assisting my clients.
